Where the governor's race is heading

Once votes are counted, two separate estimates appear here. Both give the margin (Democrat minus Republican, in points of all votes). The first goes by vote mode. It compares pre-election and election-day ballots, each with its own 2022 margin. The second goes by county, using each county's change in margin from its own 2022, weighted by its counted vote.

Benchmarks

Six questions written before election night and scored as the votes come in. Certified 2022: Stitt 55.45%, Hofmeister 41.79%, margin 13.66. Hofmeister carried Cleveland, Oklahoma and Tulsa.
